The Ritual
The Ritual
In his early years, Alex witnessed his grandmother perform countless rituals that connected the living to spirits and ancestors. Each ceremony began with a ritualistic body painting using white chalk or clay, transforming the body into a sacred vessel for communication and protection. Deeply inspired by these moments, Alex began painting at a young age, driven by a desire to master ritual body painting as both a spiritual and artistic practice. Over time, he went on to develop his own distinct personal style of body painting.
Upon arriving in Europe, Alex discovered the possibility of merging this ancestral language of body painting with his growing passion for fashion and garments. What once lived directly on the skin expanded into textiles, silhouettes, and wearable forms, allowing his ritual paintings to evolve into garments that carry memory and identity.
